Calling all 65,000+ Voters who Voted for Romney March 4th * Help US GET ROMNEY IN AS McCain's VICE PRESIDENT & President for 2012

Our team has elected officers and is organizing into a PAC (political action committee). We are in the process of filling out, filing and submitting documents to the State, FEC, and IRS so we can Raise Funds to put the pressure on the GOP, RNC, and McCain to pick Romney for VP.  Imagine if we are able to buy media time and ads, and the RNC sees that people are opening up their pocket books to get Romney on the ticket.  Either for the 2008 election, or those of you that want to see him in as President in 2012, our funds are going to promote Romney! Furthermore, we'll continue to press for conservative principles and leadership long after Romney.  Imagine if McCain placed Romney in charge of the economy and Romney was able to make a significant difference over the next 4 years.  He would be in the ideal slot as VP to run for 2012.  Money talks, if people can see the difference in the system they'll push for him in 2012 too.  We cannot start receiving funds yet, but we are in the planning stages now. We would love your ideas and support for fund raising or anything to you feel would help us get Romney in office. Let's get the same Mittmentum going that Romney had while in his full primary campaign!

Listed Below are a few Market questions I think would help us.  Answer all of or some them if you have the time. If you prefer to email your responses to me, my email is info@unitethegop.com

1.      Would you consider yourself independent, moderate, conservative, constitutionalist, or libertarian?

2.      Which committee would you like to contribute the most too?

  • Media Relations
  • Membership Relations
  • Government Relations
  • Strategy/Tactics
  • Policy
  • Research
  • Accounting/Finance
  • Service Development

3.      What would you be willing to pay for a monthly membership or annual membership?

5.      Are you interested in a leadership position in your state? (list state)

Who Are The Other VP Prospects for McCain?

In reviewing several top Google searches of "Romney for VP" and "McCain's VP," it would appear that the media is searching for someone to fill in the missing gaps of McCain's "conservative credentials." It is at this point, that we need to take a serious look at those individuals who want to take away our choice for VP. We should study all we can about them, what their positions are, how well known they are in conservative circles. This way, we can do a comparison on how they would stack up against Mitt Romney as vice president. We need to show the media that Romney is by far the best choice for VP then any other person in politics.

Let's Start Spreading the Word in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont- A vote for Romney is a Vote for McCain-Romney ticket

Hello Readers,
Hopefully after this weekend we will have an organized leadership committee for the PAC.  In the meanwhile, let's not waste any time.   We have a little over 1 week to contact every person we can in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  It will take time for readers of our posts to spread the word.  Delegate splits are as follows: winner take all= WTA -Ohio-WTA, Rhode Island-PROPORTIONAL
Texas-WTA (based on districts), otherwise it's PROPORTIONAL, Vermont-WTA.  I really think March 4th could be a major turning point for us if we are successful.

Below are links to newspapers and media.   I think we should start with newspapers and blogs.  It will take local readers to start spreading the word.  When you post, be sure not to spam. Respond to any applicable articles Since Romney is hush, hush, perhaps those of McCain's support or weakness's.  Make sure that your blogs, opinions, statements, and letters are always in reference to the current topic.  Spread the word,  a vote for Romney is a vote for a McCain-Romney ticket. www.unitethegop.com You can even submit my photo from the main blog.  To download, just right click, save as, and save to your computer. Report back which contacts you have made.  Make as many as possible on each site  I also think if it is possible it would be a good idea to search the phrase Romney for VP on GOOGLE, and go to all the blogs you can find where others are discussing the possiblity.  I've found quite a few myself.

Calling all Conservatives who would like to be members of the PAC committee We are now forming

CONTACT ME (UNITE) AT INFO@UNITETHEGOP.COM
Now comes the time when we see which of you readers really have the guts to do what it is going to take to bring our agenda before the public.  We are going to form a PAC so we can raise the necessary funds to get our message out publicly.  We need about 5 committed people who are not afraid to come forward and will be actively involved.  This will take a time commitment on each of your parts.  While our group is still in it's infancy, I would like to start out as volunteers.  As more time is required on each of our parts, or we find the need to hire professionals to handle our groups growing needs, we will administer a percentage of the funds raised to handle these requirements. David has agreed to draw up the paperwork.  We have attorney who has agreed to help as well.  We will have to decide who will be in charge, who is treasurer, etc.  If you would like to be a member of this leadership please come forward via the email with your personal information.  I would like to either set up a conference call, or a secure chat where everyone can give their input. Thanks!

Strategic Vision of Mitt Romney for Vice President

1. It is the spring of 2009. The storms of debate over issues of ideology and candidates for the presidency of the United States have come to a close. Senator John McCain and Governor Mitt Romney have successfully become the President and Vice President of the United States of America. Yet, it almost did not happen!

2. Back in February, Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts fell short in South Carolina, Florida, and finally in California. So, in order to bring the GOP together, Mitt Romney suspended his campaign for the betterment of the party and the nation. A week later, after suspending his campaign, Mitt Romney chose to support Senator McCain as the nominee for the presidency. It was at this crutial time that many members of the conservative media were pleading with conservatives to vote for Romney because they felt the end of the conservative movement was coming to an end. They said, "McCain is unacceptable." One commentator suggested that should McCain take the nomination, she would vote Democrat. Then, after Romney chose to support McCain, the conservative media has made several recommendations that "the only way they would get behind a McCain presidency is if Mitt Romney became his running mate."

3. Not much time passed when a grass-roots organization decided to join together in the creation of a vision and a plan. The name of this group was UniteTheGOP.Com. The members of this group gathered together to build a vision of a hoped for future which every conservative could accept and believe. The vision added motivation to make the vision a reality. The members of the group felt right about the direction this grass-roots organization took in seeking out like-minded people who believe in the same values. As more people became involved in the process, the more people contributed to the process. The more blog posts were made, the more people started to focus on the collective need of the group because they came away with a feeling of ownership in the process.

4. As March 2008 came around, UniteTheGOP.Com decided that never again would a situation arise where a presidential candidate would have a record of harming the conservative movement in the past. So, it created its own political action conference for the purpose of maintaining the values of economic, social, and religious conservatives and promoting those candidates who demostrate their conservative credentials in preserving the conservative standards.

5. As the political action commitee (PAC) grew in membership, it started an agressive marketing campaign on television, radio, newspaper, and Internet in raising awareness on important conservative issues. But, the initial project of the PAC was to get Mitt Romney in as the clear choice for the running partner and vice presidential candidate of the Republican nominee, John McCain. As the idea took fire, conservatives from all over the nation joined, and the PAC gave them opportunity to have ownership in the movement by involving them in discussions and decisions. But, the greatest event was in how Mitt Romney started winning states for John McCain allowing a larger share of the delegates going to Senator McCain to come from Mitt Romney. The most significant strength behind this push came from those who supported him before he suspended his nomination on those websites promoting Romney's candidacy. It soon became apparent to Senator McCain that the only way he was going to have the support from his base was to ask Romney to run with him for the sake of the party.

6. Finally, September 1st thru the 4th came upon us. It was the day of the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Republicans were excited about the prospects that were before them especially in light of the great battle that waged between the two Democratic contenders. Everyone seemed to have a great confidence in the direction of the nomination and the prospects of the best ticket the Republicans could have going towards the November vote. The convention did not disappoint. It was McCain-Romney who were the power of the Republican nomination.

7. After Senator McCain spoke, our man, Mitt Romney took the stage and spoke about the issues which were battled over during the state caucuses. He spoke about the great Republican President in Ronald Reagan. Then he stopped, and told the audience, he learned an important lesson that campaigns should never be built from the top down, but from the bottom up. There were among his great followers a group who built a vision of the future for themselves, their party, and their nation, they built a campaign that supported him in becoming the process of becoming the running mate to the next president of the United Staes, John McCain. That groups name is UniteTheGOP.Com. While there were many in the conservative coalition who got him to where he is, UniteTheGOP.Com shows the nation that it's greatest strength is its people and the ability to build a coalition of power and influence that will safeguard the conservative values well into the future.

8. As November 4th came, we were quite excited about the prospects of having accomplished many thought were impossible, the victory of Senator John McCain and Governor Romney as the President and Vice President of the United States of America. Finally, we had accomplished a great work, placing a man in the position that would represent our values in his office and placing him in a position to potentially reach the highest office in the nation. There was a great relief and satisfaction at having accomplished such a great task for the good of America. The accomplishment brought tears of gratitude to many who have worked so hard in the building of this great coalition.

9. In April 2009, as Vice President, Mitt Romney is given the power to move much of his agenda forward in strengthening the economy. He turned the United States into a major export leader through manufacturing more products than the consumption demand within its borders while importing even more internationally. Vice President Romney has passed his economic package that allows those who make less than $200,000 to have no taxes on capital gains, dividends, and interest on investments in American businesses. He has also passed as part of his economic package the elimination of the inheritance tax and has limited tort liabilities and the corporate tax rate at 20%. As a result, unemployment started to turn the corner and head downward to 4%.

10. By July, under the hand of Vice President Mitt Romney, new technolgies were made available to harvest and drill the estimated 2 trillion barrels of oil shale in the Rocky Mountain states of Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. The supply of oil shale is harvested through a heating process using solar panels and large magnifying prisoms that heated the shale under ground to a hot enough temprature to turn it into high quality petrolium oil for drilling. While the process would take six to nine months to prepare for drilling, oil prices started dropping significantly.

11. By July of 2010, oil production in the American Mountain West exceeded all United States demand on foreign oil. Production costs of the oil bring the gas prices down to less than $1.00 per gallon. Jobs start returning to Michigan automobile manufacturers and manufacturers dealing in plastic molding and ceramincs making the United States the leading manufacturer of products worldwide. As a result of this production capacity, the radical Jihadists discover they no longer have the resources to wage war against western civilizations. The production levels of OPEC nations comes to a near stand still. Now, the Middle East nations are begging the United States for aid to help them move their economy towards other competitive industries and business sectors.

12. Coming off of such a miraculous economic turnaround, Vice President Romney begins campaigning for the 2012 Presidency of the United States scoring well above 50% in the polls and the highest support ratings of any presidency in history. As Vice President Romney begins his election campaign for the 2012 cycle, many of the members of the UniteTheGOP.Com are at his announcement speach ready to do whatever is necessary to win him the presidency at last. As we listen to our candidate speak, tears again fill our eyes with the promise of a President we can all be proud to support.

13. As oil production becomes "mainstream," a tremendous amount of capital begins to go into research and innovation on using renewable energy systems to replace oil and utilize more effectively systems such as solar, photovoltaic (circulated water heated by the sun), wind turbines and other such renewable sources. But, these sources are not necessarily for power companies, but for the individual property owner's benefit directly. So, the energy output is in the control of the property owner.

Note: This is merely an attempt at creating a strategic vision upon which to build. It only has to be realistic to inspire and motivate people to action to make it come true. Also, note that each paragraph is numbered in order to provide participants in this vision the ability to make recommendations for changes in each paragraph.

Thank you.

Issues Romney May Still Need to Deal With

Since the time Mitt Romney entered himself as a candidate for president, the liberal media dogged him as a "flip-flopper." It is my belief that the Democrats will continue this position into the primaries as the running mate to Senator John McCain. For those who don't know the term "flip-flopper" is most closely related to the term "open-minded." The difference is the slant of terms towards connotation. A "flip-flopper (open-minded)" person will change their positions or their ideas after obtaining additional information that did not occur to them in the past.

Yet, there are those who call themselves "hardliners" or people who would not change their positions, strategies, or tectics for anything no matter the cost or how wrong it is, even when they know it will not work. Hardliners are so persistenet in their course that they see things in absolutes in terms of complete victory or complete defeat. There is no falling back in order to get ahead or combining strengths of another in order to win together. Of course, there is nothing wrong with this type of approach as long as the values we stand for are correct and true. Persistance is a great virtue that changes the world.

Right now, Governor Huckabee and Senator McCain have their own issues they are fighting for. Yet, the idea of Mitt Romney uniting with John McCain has dominated the media attention. They ask, how could two people who have fought on just about every issue important to voters in this election cycle all of a sudden support each other? The answer came from Governor Romney. He told us all that it is more important to move behind the nominee then to go on battling issues then to give the Democrats the advantage.

In reading several of the articles on realclearpolitics.com on the Democrats from several sources, I came away with the feeling that there is an all out war between two different major segments of the Democratic Party. It is a war between gender and race. Should one lose, chances are very high that the other side would feel alienated. This alienation is similar to how each of us feel about the idea of a moderate and another moderate running on a Republican ticket. It is taking time for us to sort things out, look at our resources, and construct a plan for partial acceptance. One of the Democrat segments will, no doubt go through a similar experience. They will either vote their party nominee no matter their frustration with their nominee's positions or they will vote for our nominee just to make a statement.

Could it be possible that the conservative base who is determined to vote Democrat be outweighed by those who are Democrats seeking to make a statement to vote Republican for the same reasons? With the fluidity of this race, which Romney has responded to on a number of occasions, it is hard to see just how this race will turn out even with the best of teams. Our candidate has already learned that in the midst of war the best of strategies can change based on the response of the enemy.

To quote a favorite Romney saying, "now is the time" to move this country forward by standing strong behind our parties nominee. As the running mate for John McCain, Mitt Romney does not move backward, he moves forward. He places himself in a position of winning the Vice Presidency and to become the front-runner in 2012. Yet, there are some risk to being the running mate to John McCain. You never know what John McCain is going to say that will mess things up for the future plans of a running mate. Truely, with any venture, there is risk. But, if we plan on mitigating our risks, there is value in contingency planning (redirecting resources and tactics to still accomplish the end purposes and goals).

I know that many of us are absolutely terrified about the prospect of McCain choosing someone else. To choose a Democrat is unthinkable. Yet, to not vote in any election is to concede to not caring which way the people choose. Should Romney not become McCain's running mate, do we wait around hoping and praying that devine providence will step in and do something or do we take action through every legal and ethical means at our disposal to influence the president and congress on every issue. We can dog them with press and media releases, calls to members of congress from every precinct in the United States, we can do everything posible to educate the public of the things that are taking place in Washington. Well, did Mitt Romney speak, "Washington is broken" and it is up to all of us to collectively fix it.

It is my own opinion that the only way to fix Washington is to find new way of privatizing most of the services we have come to expect. Under Title 26 (IRS Code), the purpose of a tax-exempt organization is to "reduce the financial burden of government." So, instead of paying your taxes to the government to solve problems, we are all given the choice of making contributions to a tax-exempt organization that will solve the same problem, and we get a tax benefit for the contribution. It is just that there is a choice, yet there are rules as to how much of gross adjusted income can be contributed. We can't give all of our income to a charity and expect not to pay taxes.

Yet, the thing that is worse then a "broken Washington" is a broken Republican party and a broken link to our values and the principles we all hold sacred! We are all voting for Romney because he represents the conservative values each of us have. We stand with him in nearly every area of his positions on issues. Let us all consider our choices. The future of our party and our government may hang in the balance as a result of our collective decisions. I, for one, would hate to be responsible for ending conservatism as it is known today because I voted a different direction out of anger and disappointment.

As the running mate of John McCain, I doubt that the religion issue will be significant. The focus should be more squarely on the shoulders of the nominee than his running mate. Besides, I doubt that Barack Obama wants to get into an entanglement about his religion. Personally, I think Mormonism will be considered more "mainstream" even among evangelicals than the Muslim religion. Now, there are Muslims in America who have represented their religion well such as: Kareem Abdul Jabar, formerly of the Las Angelas Lakers; Mohammad Ali, a former heavy wieght champion in boxing; to name a few. When we hear these names, they are icons in our culture. But, their beliefs are probably more misunderstood and more unknown to the rest of American society than Mormonism is. It would be difficult to see which way the evangelicals would go when they have the choice of a Mormon and a Muslim somewhere in the mix!

The Nature of Politics

Benjamin Franklin made an observation at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Penncylvania at the conclusion of the convention, he said, "I have a great many issues with this document, but I am not sure it is not the best that we can do." What Benjamin Franklin meant by such a comment is that the nature of politics is compromise. It means that politicians must make decisions solely based on current priorities or needs. To illustrate this concept, what if a President John McCain had the decision by the Democrats in congress to either place $100 billion into the Iraqi War effort of place it on securing our borders with the threat that by chosing one the liberal media would tell the American public that he renounced the other. So, what is to be chosen? Obviously, there is no winning choice for the president except under immediate need circumstances and the ability of the president to communicate their choice to the public before the liberals get their chance to communicate their perspectives.

My point is this, as we come together to create as realistic of a plan as possible for a Romney vice presidency and eventual presidency, let us keep in mind that it is not only the candidate we want but the positions on the issues we want enforced. We must not just look to Mitt Romney, but after Mitt Romney has taken the White House for eight years in helping the GOP focus on the issues as they pertain to current circumstance.

So, First things First...

Let's focus on getting Mitt Romney as our choice for Senator John McCain's running mate. I am going to establish several blogs dedicated to establishing a clear vision with real objectives with a focus on raising funds that will allow us to accomplish our purpose with the media in persuading Sentor McCain to make a choice we can all agree with.
